The Finger Lakes Youth Employment & Training Program is made possible through the federally funded Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Our region covers youth who live in Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, and Yates counties. Seneca and Yates counties offer an In-School Youth Program covering ages 14-21 and all four counties offer an Out-of-School Youth Program covering ages 16-24.
Eligible youth are able to receive one-on-one counseling to explore career and/or training opportunities, improve job readiness skills, optimize financial planning, earn their Diploma or High School Equivalency if needed, explore post-secondary opportunities, participate in paid work experiences, access supportive service funds (bus passes, driving lessons, childcare, housing needs, etc.), and earn incentives for hitting their goals!
Please fill out the form below* and one of the Youth Counselors will be in touch to provide more information and review eligibility guidelines. If you have specific questions about the program, you can contact Youth System Coordinator, Amanda Lesterhuis, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 315-789-3131 ext. 104. Thank you!
*If you are a resident of Wayne County, please contact their office directly for more information at 315-946-7270 and ask to speak to the Youth Counselor.
(Providing your Cell Phone Carrier below is helpful if we need to send you a text from our computer to get the conversation started.)
