“Finger Lakes Hires Business of the Week.”

Geneva, New York -The Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board (FLWIB) announced today that RealEats of Geneva, New York is “Finger Lakes Hires Business of the Week”. Finger Lakes Hires promotes businesses in need of workers by promoting their workforce culture and job openings.  “The pandemic created nationwide a critical shortage of workers and we want to act proactively to insure companies in the Finger Lakes region will continue to grow,” said Lynn Freid, FLWIB Director.  “Finger Lakes Hires” is a new program designed to highlight the unique stories and business cultures of companies in the Finger Lakes every day for one week.  “RealEats is a great example of the kind of company Finger Lakes Hires is designed to support,” Freid added.

RealEats story:
Founded in 2017, RealEats delivers locally sourced, chef-cooked meals directly to homes. Their website (www.realeats.com) tells the story of CEO, Dan Wise’s struggle to find healthy home-cooked meals for him and his two sons only to find “frozen pizza and take-out”.  The website continues: “Finally, he stumbled upon sous-vide, a decades-old method used in top restaurants to heat food to perfection while naturally locking in the vibrancy and nutrition. Not only would this new discovery solve dinner for Dan and his boys, but it would make it simple for everyone to enjoy the nutritional benefits of real food. And, so RealEats came to be.”

In an recent article from Locate Finger Lakes Business Journal, (https://locateflx.com/business-journal/how-geneva-nurtured-the-growth-of-food-startup-realeats/ ) Wise says “When we launched RealEats, we set out on a mission to build a healthier food future by making it simple for everyone to access and enjoy real food.  Many of the ingredients used to make our delicious meals are sourced directly from hard-working Finger Lakes farmers’ right around the corner from our kitchen.”

With success comes growth:
In fewer than three years, RealEats has achieved notable success; shipping healthy meals to 28 states. They are looking to grow their team to keep up with current and future demand.  “This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to be a part of an expanding industry” says RealEats Human Resource Director Marcelina Tosado adding “Interested in a great career?  Come grow with us!”

Currently RealEats has over 30 positions available – both full and part time opportunities. RealEats is an equal opportunity employer who values a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture encouraging applications from all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, national origin, marital status, disability, and veteran status.  Current openings involve the packing of product by materials for the weekly shipments.

“By creating local jobs in the Geneva community and buying the freshest ingredients from local farms, RealEats is making it simple for people to enjoy real food.” Tosado said.
