Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board recognizes ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions as “Finger Lakes Hires Business of the Week.”

Geneva, New York – The Finger Lakes Workforce Investment Board (FLWIB) announces today that ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions, of Macedon, New York is “Finger Lakes Hires Business of the Week”. Finger Lakes Hires promotes businesses in need of workers by promoting their workforce culture and opportunities. “Working families are fortunate to have companies like ABX Innovative Solutions that provide excellent career pathways in advanced manufacturing” said Lynn Freid, FLWIB Director. Finger Lakes Hires is designed to highlight the unique stories and business cultures of companies in the Finger Lakes every day for one week.  “Finger Lakes Hires and ABX are a perfect match” Freid added.

ABX History
ABX started in 2005 as Advanced Barrier Extrusions, a private company in Rhinelander, WI. In 2018 the company was acquired by Graham Partners, a Philadelphia based private investment firm.

In 2020 ABX acquired 6 flexible packaging converting facilities from Berry Global and was rebranded ABX Innovative Packaging Solutions.  With this acquisition ABX grew to over 800 employees with the Macedon, NY plant having over 380 of them.  The Macedon plant has transitioned through several parent companies over the years and produces custom printed flexible packaging for the bakery and personal care (diapers, wipes, etc) markets.

A career at ABX means working with talented and dedicated people. Ranging from packaging designers and engineers, to manufacturing and technical experts, to businessmen and women, workers at ABX are working towards the same goal: to create advanced flexible solutions that preserve and protect the quality of our customers’ products. ABX has current openings in most production and support areas and provide extensive training so minimal manufacturing experience is required.  These positions include:

  • Converting Packer/Operator
  • Flexographic Printer
  • Blown/Cast Extrusion Operator
  • Ink Technician
  • Industrial Electrician/Mechanics
  • Forklift/Warehousing Persons
