This is a community education class that runs three Thursday evenings, Sept. 14, 21 and 28 at the FLCC Geneva Campus Center.
Beginning 3D Printing exposes learners to the processes of setting up and using commercially available filament-based 3D printers. Participants will learn printer assembly, calibration, and maintenance.
This class will also cover the exploration of free 3D models found on the internet, preparing them for printing, and understanding the concepts of slicing applications. Finally the material properties of the common plastics used in printing will cap off the course.
