Apprenticeship Programs Available

The Geneva Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, Local Union #840, will conduct a recruitment from October 10, 2018 through September 11, 2019 for 8 electrician apprentices.

Applications may be obtained from Local Union #840, 1401 Routes 5 and 20, Geneva, NY, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, except legal holidays, during the recruitment period.

Applicants must pay a $10.00 testing fee at the time of application. Applicants may request that this fee be waved. Fee waivers will be approved upon showing verifiable proof of financial need.

Geneva Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee 

The Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Ironworkers, Local Union #33, will conduct a recruitment from September 4, 2018 through August 6, 2019 for ten ironworker (outside) apprentices.

Please note that the ten openings listed for ironworker apprentices represent the total number for three recruitment regions  the Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Western regions.

Applications can be obtained at the Ironworkers Local Union #33, 154 Humboldt Street, Rochester, NY, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, excluding legal holidays, during the recruitment period. Applications must be completed on the premises.

Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee for Ironworkers

The Upstate New York Engineers Training Fund, Local Union #545 (also doing business as Local Union #158, District #545), will conduct a recruitment from October 1, 2018 through October 12, 2018 for two operating engineer (heavy equipment operator) apprentices.

Please note that the two openings listed for apprentices represent the total number for five recruitment regions  the Central, Finger Lakes, Mohawk Valley, North Country, and Southern Tier regions.

Applications can be obtained in-person only, at the Upstate NY Engineers Training Constantia site located at 814 County Route 23, Constantia, NY from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for 10 business days or until 35 applications have been submitted, whichever comes first. Applications must be completed on the premises.
